The main feature of the 2005 vintage was that all the balances were at a higher level: more sugar, deeper colour, more acidity, more aromas, more tannins… thanks in part to a carefully controlled yield of 38 hl/ha.
Deep coloured with great aromatic and tannic finesse, more concentrated than usual, the 2005 is built to last. An ageing in 100% new French oak barrels (only done in outstanding vintages) enabled this tannic power to integrate well while helping to bring out the wine’s full aromatic expression.
Keep for 10 to 30 years.
